Terms of use
Version 1 — last updated: 20 October 2026. The Arabic version is the reference text.
We review this text with a lawyer. Any change will be announced here with a new version number and date, and shop owners will be told before it applies.
By using Akkd (akkd.app) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
Akkd is a platform that gives shops a digital menu, orders, bookings and payment by transfer (InstaPay or mobile wallet), on a QR code and a link of each shop's own. The service is provided «as is»; we try to keep it running at all times but don't guarantee it will never stop.
2. The account
- The shop owner is responsible for their login details and everything done from their account, and for their staff and the staff codes.
- The information you enter must be correct (shop name, WhatsApp number, prices).
- The link you choose for your shop is first come, first served, and must not impersonate another shop or organisation.
- You must be 18 or over to open a shop account.
3. Plans and payment
- There is a free plan, and paid plans in Egyptian pounds, billed monthly or yearly (yearly = 10 months' price for 12 months of service). The prices are on the pricing page when you subscribe.
- 14 days free on the plan you choose, no card. After that the shop moves back to Free by itself; to carry on, you pay.
- Launch discount: for the first 50 shops, on the yearly plan only, for the first year (Plus EGP 1,495 · Pro EGP 2,995 · Premium EGP 4,995), then the normal yearly price. Monthly is always the full price, and extra branches are not discounted. A spot is held with the first paid yearly invoice; a shop that stays on Free for 30 days gives its spot back. Demo shops take no spot.
- An extra branch is EGP 199 a month on the Pro and Premium plans only.
- The subscription is paid by InstaPay or mobile wallet transfer with an upload of the transfer screenshot, and is activated after someone from our team confirms the payment.
- An upgrade starts as soon as the payment is confirmed, and the unused days of the old plan come off its invoice. A move to a smaller plan or to Free happens at the end of the period already paid.
- There are no refunds for part of a period already paid.
- If the next period's invoice is late, there are 7 days of grace, then the shop moves back to Free (the menu keeps working).
4. Fair use («No limit»)
«No limit» on the paid plans means we don't cap the number of orders a month, under fair use: one shop (and the branches in its plan) with real customers' orders. If the use harms the service or goes far beyond what is normal for a shop of its kind — such as automated orders, or running several shops from one account — we will talk to you first and agree on a solution before taking any action.
5. Payments from a shop's customers
When a customer pays a shop by InstaPay or mobile wallet, the transfer goes straight to the shop's account. Akkd is not a party to the sale, does not receive or guarantee the money, and confirming that the money arrived is the shop owner's responsibility.
6. The shop owner's responsibility
- The quality of products and services, prices, delivering orders and keeping appointments are the owner's responsibility alone.
- Complying with the licences and laws of their trade (such as pharmacies, clinics and restaurants).
- Pharmacies: dispensing and selling medicines (including those that need a prescription) under Egyptian laws and regulations is the pharmacy's responsibility alone. Clinics: the doctor must be licensed, and the examination or consultation is their responsibility.
- Handling their customers' data in line with the law and the privacy policy.
7. Delivery
Akkd is not a courier and does not deliver orders. Delivery is the shop's responsibility: the shop delivers, sets the fees, areas and times, and deals with the customer until the order arrives.
8. WhatsApp
The shop owner follows the WhatsApp Business policy and does not send bulk messages or ads to people who did not ask for them. Akkd never sends WhatsApp messages by itself — every message opens ready-made and a person sends it by hand.
9. Demo shops
Anyone can open, order from and edit the demo shops, and their data is wiped and put back every day. Don't type real data in them (your name, number or address); no order there reaches a real shop.
10. Custom design
A custom design for your shop is a separate service, not part of the plans, at a cost we agree on in a written quote before we start.
11. Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful, misleading or abusive content, try to break into it or flood it with requests, or impersonate a person or organisation. We may suspend any account that does.
12. Content
The content you upload (photos, names, prices) is yours, and you give us the right to show it on your shop's pages and to run the service. You are responsible for having the right to use it.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Akkd is not liable for lost profits or data, or for any indirect damage from using the service or from it stopping.
14. Ending the service
You can close your account at any time by asking us. We may stop the service for any account that breaks these terms, and will tell you beforehand whenever possible.
We review these terms with a lawyer; any change will be announced here with a new version number and date, and shop owners will be told before it applies.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by Egyptian law, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction.
16. Privacy
How we use your data is explained in the privacy policy.
